Twelve kilometres from Ölü deniz, Fethiye is a pretty town sprawling at the foot of the pine-clad Mount Mendos and curving around a deep blue, island-scattered bay. The town has a distinct 'souk-like' atmosphere with a maze of streets lined with restaurants, bars and carpet, leather and spice shops.
