Scenically situated between the tiny harbour of Pessada and the resort of Lourdas, the resort of Trapezaki lies in a valley fringed by some of the best beaches on Kefalonia. The lovely Villa Mataki lies in a largely residential area only seven hundred metres from the nearest mini-market and a local taverna and within a couple of kilometres of the beach.

This is a really stylish, sea-facing villa whose owner's enthusiastic eye for design is reflected in their décor and furnishings. Impressive use of local stone and limed wood has been used to build the house which enjoys a tranquil location surrounded by a minimilistic garden scattered with shrubs and potted plants. A spacious stone-flagged terrace surrounds the swimming pool, bordered by a low fence over which there are tranquil views across the surrounding countryside to the sea. Doors open from a semi-shaded patio into an open-plan lounge/diner with an adjoining kitchenette and open-sided wooden steps leading up to a mezzanine-style twin room overlooking the lounge. The double bedroom opens onto the poolside terrace. Both bedrooms have en suite shower rooms.
