In the beautiful south of the island, Es Cubells is a delightful little ‘pueblo' centred around a pretty nineteenth century church and home to little more than a couple of bars and restaurants and a local shop. A narrow windy road leads down the steep hillside from the church, to the lower part of the village and the beach of Ses Boques, a journey best made by car. Here the sand and pebble beach is great for snorkelling and not only boasts spectacular views, but also a popular beachside bar and restaurant serving fresh fish and cold beer with equal enthusiasm.
