Most famous for the fabulous Hippy Market held here every Wednesday throughout the summer, Es Canar is also a bustling little resort in its own right with a wealth of family-friendly amenities and one of the longest beaches on the island. The town lies around a bay fringed by shallow waters and soft golden sands and is home to a variety of bars and places to eat, a medical centre or two and one cash point machine. The busier town of Santa Eulalia is less than five kilometres away, easily reached by bus or by a scenic walk along the coastal path, stopping at numerous little beaches en route. A beach-hopping ferry service also leaves fairly regularly from Es Canar and sails along the east coast. Distance from airport approximately 24 kilometres.
