Armacao de Pera is a town of two distinctive styles. The old part, flat and easily walkable, is a typical Algarvean village, with narrow streets, quaint fishermen's houses and a beach that stretches almost to Albufeira. Restaurants, bars and cafe's are dotted around, with more in the new town, built on cliff tops with beautiful gardens overlooking the sea and a lovely, palm-lined promenade.
