Casa Caroline stands at the end of a leafy cul-de-sac in Vale do Garrão, a peaceful residential area between the resorts of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, only a kilometre or so from the ocean and close to a huge choice of sporting amenities and a variety of superb restaurants.

The front door of the villa opens into a whitewashed hall, with archways leading into the dining room and the air-conditioned lounge. French windows lead from the lounge onto the patio, from which there are four steps down to the poolside patio and the barbecue. Also on the ground floor are the kitchen, a bathroom and two bedrooms; a twin and a double. Upstairs, a second double bedroom has its own en suite bathroom and the twin bedroom has a private shower room. Both rooms open onto a big terrace overlooking the swimming pool and the villa's attractive gardens, where pine trees provide welcome natural shade from the Algarve's scorching summer sun.
