Villa Barbosa lies in the tranquil, unspoilt countryside of Mouraria. The village of Guia is just three kilometres away, home to the superb Algarve Shopping Mall and a handful of well-priced restaurants, including the chicken piri-piri houses for which the town is justly famous. Bustling Albufeira is three kilometres south.

The villa has an attractive front garden planted with young palm trees, flowerbeds and a small side lawn. Inside, the house is unusually decorated with a selection of artefacts and ornaments from nothern Portugal. The open-plan lounge has a feature fireplace and adjoins a small, well-equipped kitchen. Each of the charming air-conditioned bedrooms has its own en suite bathroom and there are steps leading down to the spacious sun terrace around the swimming pool, beyond which a lawned garden is planted with shady trees. An impressive covered poolside barbecue and seating area provides the ideal venue for al fresco dining.
