This beautifully restored, rustic farmhouse can be found in rural surroundings some eight kilometres from the delightful town of Loulé, well known for its choice of shoe shops and its fabulous weekly market.

Imaginative design work has left many farmhouse relics in place. A splendid lounge was once a stable, the dining area next door has an attractive low timber ceiling and a corner chimney and the farmhouse-style kitchen is well equipped. A pretty twin bedroom has wooden beams and a countryside view whilst a tastefully furnished double faces the swimming pool. The grounds are no less appealing, with an original covered well and an oak tree that guards the drive. There is a strip of lawn beside the veranda, where you will find one of the barbecues, a second one being situated on the terraced surrounds of the swimming pool. Alongside the grounds of the quinta, which offer considerable privacy, there's an orchard of orange trees, a vineyard and an olive grove, plus the remaining 3500 metres of an original Roman road from which this lovely villa's name derives.
