Monte Dourado is built into a hillside overlooking Carvoeiro, enjoying an enviable position in the resort centre, within walking distance of shops and bars and a variety of good quality restaurants. The pretty local beach flanks the town square and several gorgeous beaches can be found just a few kilometres away. Golfers will find the two superb courses of Pinta and Gramacho within four kilometres and the Slide & Splash water park is also nearby.

Occupying the ground or first floor, the apartments are arranged in little blocks, surrounded by shady trees, plants and shrubs and linked by cobbled paths meandering through the grounds. Swimming pools and splash pools for children can be found amidst the various blocks. A reception service provides helpful advice and more energetic guests can enjoy a game on one of the tennis courts for which equipment is available for hire. Less mobile holidaymakers should be aware that the local area is hilly in parts and the main avenue has a noticeable incline.
